When Aurora Knight was young she was afraid of music notes. They always seemed too complicated for her. Almost like it was something that she could never understand or get the hang of. Ironically there she was playing on a Disneyland stage winning first place with her band at festivals in California.
Before her dad introduced her into the world of classic rock and metal bands, she was listening to my little pony music. Being introduced to bands like: Metallica, Megadeth, Iron maiden, AC DC, and a lot more, she got the wonderful idea to start playing guitar just to be like her favourite guitarists.
When she was twelve she got her first guitar, but it was nothing special at the time. The guitar was a cheap Fender Squier Strat, which is like everyone's starter guitar. The first day she got it, she started playing. Then she started to take lessons at Long and McQuade. There she met her guitar teacher, who started off teaching her how to play blues. Aurora is a very quick learner, so six months into playing guitar she could already play master of puppets all of the way through.
A couple of years later she decided to take guitar class as an option in grade nine, just so she could show off to people. Her communist guitar was trying to make her look bad my asking her to two hand tap, knowing she couldn't. Aurora took that as a challenge. Two days later, when she had that class again, she showed up with her new snow white Jackson guitar and her Spyder amplifier. Setting the amplifier up she played Eruption by Van Halen. The look on her teachers face was priceless. She ended up getting the guitar class award on the last day of school.
Guitar isn't the only instrument she can play. When she was twelve she also joined her schools concert band, and started learning how to play saxophone. For three years straight she practiced every day she could, and she ended up being the best saxophonist in the band by far. Her band teacher gave her the hardest parts of each song, because she was knew that Aurora could easily play those parts well.
For three years of hard work it finally paid off. In her third year of band they tried out for performing in Disneyland. The recording that her band sent for the tryout was so close to the actual professional recording that they accepted the band on the first audition. In Disneyland they were told that being accepted on the first try almost never happens. Because her band was already in Anaheim, they also went to a music festival in Los Angeles. Her band was so good that they came first place.
A month after that she had her last band performance at her school. She was so heartbroken that she didn't want to give her saxophone back, so she decided to continue with music and band. That is why she is in music academy, because music is the only thing that she enjoys doing, and it's something that she is somewhat talented at.
