Academy Goal:
One goal that I have for the first semester of music academy is to learn how to use YouTube. This January I want to know how to edit our music videos, and how to make actual recordings of the songs that we're going to make covers for. This can be measured by getting views and subscribers, because the better of a job that your doing, the more views and subscribers you get. We'll make music videos and record our covers of the songs that we're playing. We can also shout the channel out on all of our accounts of social media. All of this is relevant to music academy because one of our assignments is to actually make a YouTube channel. It is timely because usually when you start off on any social media it's either going to grow slowly, because you're trying to find new people, or it can grow fast, because everyone you already know will watch your videos and subscribe. Personal Goal: My personal goal for this semester is to become more confident with playing guitar in front of people, because I get nervous too easily when it comes to soloing in front of a group, especially when I'm not the best. If I do achieve this goal I'll be able to play better in front of a group, without low-key panicking. A way I could get to that point, is to play out loud in front of people often wether I like it of not. It's relevant because being in a band, I'm going to have to play in front of people live. Usually when I do something for long enough I can gain confidence easily and fast, because It's how I work.
